This is a one-year scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Open to a student graduating from a city of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year college/university, vocational or technical school. Eligibility is based on a academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. Additional consideration will be given to candidates of Indian sub-continent origin. Student will be asked to attend the GOPIO annual gala in June 2015 to be honored at the event, and volunteer in a GOPIO community activity sometime during the term of their award (based on availability, to be arranged directly with GOPIO-CT).
