5 Squares Health Scholarship

This award is a one-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000.  Open to a student pursuing a degree in Healthcare and or Nutrition.  The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 or 4 year college/university, vocational or technical school. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study.

This award is a renewable scholarship in the amount up to $4,000 ($1,000 per academic year UCONN Tuition Credit). The recipient must be planning to be a full-time student at any branch of the University of Connecticut.  Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. Student must be a US Citizen, Resident Alien or Permanent Resident. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in the area of Digital Marketing or related Business Majors. The student must demonstrate involvement in community service. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility.

This is a one-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000.  Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year college/university. Eligibility is based on financial need.  Qualified applications should be first generation college students. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study.

 

Felix F. Callari Scholarship

This award is a one-year scholarship in the amount of $2,500.  Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year or 2 year college/university and pursuing a degree in automotive or mechanical engineering. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.75. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study.

This award is a one- year scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year college or university and pursuing a degree in Business. Global Organization of People of Indian Origin

(Two Scholarships Offered)

This award is a renewable scholarship in the amount up to $2,000 ($1,000 per academic year). Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 year or 4 year college/university, vocational or technical school. A letter of recommendation from a teacher is required, as well as an essay demonstrating commitment, career goals and details of community service. Eligibility is based on a academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. Additional consideration will be given to candidates of Indian sub-continent origin. Student will be asked to attend the GOPIO annual gala in June 2020 to be honored at the event, and volunteer in a GOPIO community activity sometime during the term of their award (based on availability, to be arranged directly with GOPIO-CT).

This award is a one-year scholarship in the amount up to $1,500.  Open to a female student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. Student must be a US Citizen, Resident Alien, or Permanent Resident. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited college or university for a 4 year or 2 year degree and pursuing a Science, Technology, Engineering Arts or Math degree. Eligibility is based on academic performance.

Memorial Scholarship

This award is a one-year scholarship in the amount of $1,500.  Open to a student graduating from Stamford High School and pursuing a degree in Architecture, Industrial Arts/Design or Education, this scholarship honors the teaching legacy established by John Burkhardt at Stamford High School. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year college/university. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 2.5. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study.

 

Judith Martin Memorial Scholarship

This award is a renewable scholarship in the amount of $2,000 ($1,000 per academic year). Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. US Citizen or Permanent Resident. The scholarship is student that has experienced challenges in his/her youth & would have been considered "at risk" for reaching the opportunity to attend college.  Preference given to a student who has been a recipient of the Starfish Connection program. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 year or 4 year college/university. Eligibility is based on need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. This award is a renewable scholarship in the amount of $2,500 ($1,000 in year 1, $1,500 in year 2).  Open to a student graduating from Stamford High School, a current or former English Learner and has after school/community based involvement. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at a 2-year or 4-year college or university. This award is available to individuals with a minimum GPA of 2.5. This award is a one-year scholarship in the amount of $2,000.  Open to any student graduating from a City of Stamford public high school. US Citizenship is required. Preference given to a student having attended Dolan Middle School where Nancy Heron served as Vice Principal. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 year or 4 year college/university, vocational or technical school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited accredited college university for a 4 year, 2 year degree or vocational or technical school certificate or award. It is awarded to a student pursuing education in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).  Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.1 while participating in Varsity Level Sports at the High School Level. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study.

Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must demonstrate their participation in community service and plan to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year college/university.
