Stamford Dollars for Scholars is again pleased to offer these scholarships as a result of the generosity of individual scholarship sponsors and the support of our organization, donors and volunteers. Students completing the 2024 online application have the opportunity to apply for any Stamford Dollars for Scholars scholarships for which they meet the criteria. Additionally, as Stamford Dollars for Scholars is an affiliate of Scholarship America, applicants automatically gain access to Scholarship America's valuable resources and can search other relevant scholarships opportunities.


John & Betty Burkhardt Memorial Scholarship
This award is a 1 year scholarship in the amount of $1,500. Student graduating from Stamford High School,pursuing a degree in architecture, industrial arts/design, or education.

Felix F. Callari Auto Group Award
A 1 year $3,000 award to be awarded to a student that will be pursuing an education in engineering or automotive science.

 

Crane Company Fund for Widows and Children
A 1 year $6,000 award to be awarded to a student that is experiencing or has experienced challenges in his/her youth (economic, cultural or family) and is interested in pursuing an education or career in the STEM fields.

 

Nancy J. Heron Memorial Scholarship
This award is a 1 year scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Student graduating from one of Stamford's Public High Schools with preference given to a student having attended the Dolan Middle School where Nancy Heron served as Vice Principal.


Judith Martin Memorial Scholarship
A 4 year $8,000 award ($2,000/year for 4 years). The scholarship is to be awarded to a student that is or has experienced challenges in his/her youth (economic, cultural, familial) & would have been considered "at risk" for reaching the opportunity to attend college. Preference given to a student who has been a recipient of the Starfish Connection program. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility.

 

Palmer Hill Scholarship Fund
A 1 year $5,000 award for students that live in the Rippowam Park Apartments in Stamford . Preference will be given to a student who has shown the ability to overcome personal, family, or financial challenges and a strong determination to achieve his or her goals.

 

The Shantz Mantione Group "Realize your Goals" Scholarship
This is an $8,000 scholarship awarded $2,000 each year. Scholarship is to be awarded to a student that is experiencing or has experienced challenges in his/her youth (economic, cultural or familial) and would have been at risk for reaching the opportunity to attend a 4 year college. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility.

 

Stamford Business Network Scholarship
This award is a 1 year scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Student must be a high school senior living or attending school in Stamford. One time award of $1,000 to a student majoring in Business or Economics

 

Stamford High School Class of 1982 Leaving a Legacy Scholarship
A $2,000 award for a graduating senior from Stamford High School, Class of 2023, who has a solid academic track record, some financial need that could be holding them back from post-high school education, and has displayed an unusual commitment and shows effort to improve their situation (evident through two (2) letters of recommendation, and two short essays, answering a couple of prompts related to the applicant's high school experience, special challenges he or she has overcome and how that experience has prepared the applicant for the future).

 

Stamford High School Class of 2002

A 1 year $1,500 award for a Stamford High School senior who has experienced or is experiencing challenges in their youth (financial/economic, familial, cultural) and would have been or is at risk for reaching the opportunity of higher education.

 

UBS Volunteers Sports Scholarship

This award is a 2 year scholarship in the amount of $2,000. ($1,000/year for 2 years). One year award for a varsity student athlete who maintained a 3.1 GPA while participating in Varsity Sports in High School.
 

UBS Volunteers STEM Award
This scholarship is a 2 year $2,000 scholarship. ($1,000/year for 2 years). Student must be female and enrolled STEM courses.

 

Westhill High School Class of 1973 Legacy Scholarship

(Two Scholarships to be Awarded)

A 1 year $1,500 award to a Westhill High senior. The successful applicant for the Westhill HS Class of 1973 Legacy Scholarship will submit an essay with the following components: a brief autobiographical paragraph; (including, for example, some memorable moment or event at Westhill, a significant experience in life, a special accomplishment); a personal statement, explaining what the scholarship would mean to the applicant and her/his/their family; and the applicant's plans for post-secondary education.
 

Andrew  Whittingham Family Scholarship
Award is for $8,000 awarded $2,000 each year for 4 years. This is available to a graduating high school senior who will be attending a 4 year institution, majoring in math, science, engineering or IS/MIS, and has demonstrated community service. Recipient will be selected based on financial need and academic achievement. Minimum GPA 3.0 This is a renewable scholarship. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility.

 

Robert B. Wise Memorial Scholarship
A $20,000 scholarship awarded 4 year award ($5,000/year) open to any student graduating from Stamford High School. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4-year college/university. Eligibility is based academic performance and financial need. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility. Sponsored by Charlotte & David Wise.

 

Stamford Dollars for Scholars - "Kimberly Blasnik" Volunteer of the Year Scholarship
A 1 year scholarship in the amount of $1,000. This award profile is open to any student graduating a city of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university or a program of vocational training. Eligibility is based on a combination of academic performance with a strong emphasis on volunteering activities.

 

Stamford Dollars for Scholars 1 Year Scholarship

(Three Scholarships to be Awarded)
A 1 year scholarship in the amount to $1,000. Open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited college/university. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study.

 

Stamford Dollars for Scholars $2,000 2 Year Scholarship
A 2 year $2,000 Scholarship The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university or a program of vocational training. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance. Award is Year 1 - $1,000,Year 2 - $1000. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility.

 

Stamford Dollars for Scholars $4,000 4 Year Scholarship

(Two Scholarships Awarded)
A 4 year $4,000 award open to a student graduating from a City of Stamford high school OR a Stamford resident graduating from an out of town high school. The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 4 year college/university. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance, minimum graduating GPA of 3.0. The student is to demonstrate the ability to succeed with a specific focus on the goal of completing the course of study. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility. Award is $1,000 per academic year

Stamford Dollars for Scholars $10,000 4 Year Scholarship

A 4 year scholarship in the amount $10,000 The student must be planning to be a full-time student at an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university or a program of vocational training. Eligibility is based on a combination of need and academic performance. Award is Year 1 - $1,000, Year 2 - $2,000, Year 3 - $3000, Year 4 - $4,000. Renewable scholarships require students to maintain eligibility.
